1. Our services
Webtec provides web design, website development, website redesign, website optimization, landing pages, creative strategy, digital marketing support, and related services.
We may also offer free website sketches, consultations, mockups, audits, or other previews to help potential clients understand how their website could be improved.
The exact scope of any paid service will be agreed separately in a proposal, order form, invoice, contract, email confirmation, or other written agreement between you and Webtec.
2. Free website sketches and consultations
From time to time, Webtec may offer free website sketches, mockups, consultations, or audits.
These are provided for informational and promotional purposes only. They do not create an obligation for Webtec to deliver a full website, redesign, strategy, or final deliverable unless a paid agreement is entered into.
Webtec may refuse, limit, or discontinue free sketches or consultations at any time.
3. Client information and responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when using our website or services.
You are responsible for providing any materials, content, images, branding, login details, approvals, feedback, or other information reasonably required for Webtec to deliver the services.
Delays in providing required information, feedback, approvals, or access may delay the project timeline. Webtec is not responsible for delays caused by missing, inaccurate, incomplete, or late information from the client.
You confirm that any content, images, logos, trademarks, copy, videos, or materials you provide to Webtec are either owned by you or lawfully licensed for your use.
4. Proposals, pricing, and payment
All prices, fees, deliverables, and payment terms will be stated in the relevant proposal, invoice, agreement, or written communication.
Unless otherwise stated, all fees are exclusive of applicable taxes, VAT, duties, payment processing fees, or similar charges.
Payment must be made according to the payment terms agreed with Webtec. If payment is late, Webtec may pause work, delay delivery, withhold deliverables, suspend services, or terminate the project.
Webtec may require upfront payment, milestone payments, recurring payments, or full payment before delivery, depending on the agreed service.
5. Taxes and VAT
You are responsible for any taxes, VAT, sales tax, withholding tax, customs duties, or similar charges that apply to your purchase, unless Webtec is legally required to collect and remit such amounts.
If you are located outside Sweden, different tax rules may apply depending on your country, business status, and the nature of the services.
6. Project timelines
Any timeline, delivery date, or estimated completion date provided by Webtec is an estimate unless expressly stated as a binding deadline in writing.
Timelines may change due to delays in client feedback, missing materials, third-party issues, technical problems, additional revisions, scope changes, or events outside Webtec’s reasonable control.
Webtec will use reasonable efforts to deliver services within the agreed or estimated timeline, but we do not guarantee that every project will be completed by a specific date unless this has been expressly agreed in writing.
7. Revisions and feedback
The number of revisions included in a project will be stated in the applicable proposal, agreement, or written communication.
If no revision limit is stated, Webtec will determine a reasonable number of revisions based on the scope and nature of the project.
Additional revisions, major changes, new requests, or work outside the agreed scope may result in additional fees.
Client feedback must be clear, consolidated, and provided within a reasonable time. If feedback is delayed, the project timeline may be extended.
8. Scope changes
Any request that goes beyond the originally agreed scope may be treated as additional work.
Examples of additional work may include:
New pages or sections
New functionality
New designs or redesigns
Additional integrations
Extra revisions
Copywriting not included in the original scope
SEO work not included in the original scope
Branding work not included in the original scope
Technical fixes unrelated to Webtec’s work
Work caused by third-party platform changes
Webtec may charge additional fees for out-of-scope work.
9. Third-party platforms, tools, and services
Webtec may use third-party platforms, tools, plugins, hosting providers, email systems, CRM systems, payment processors, analytics tools, design tools, or other service providers to deliver services.
These third-party services may have their own terms, fees, limitations, and privacy practices. Webtec is not responsible for the performance, downtime, pricing changes, security issues, or policy changes of third-party providers.
You are responsible for any third-party costs unless otherwise agreed in writing.
10. Domain names, hosting, and accounts
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, you are responsible for purchasing, maintaining, and renewing your own domain names, hosting, email accounts, software subscriptions, plugins, and other third-party accounts.
If Webtec assists with setup or configuration, this does not make Webtec responsible for ongoing account management, renewals, billing, security, or third-party service availability unless specifically agreed.
11. Content
You are responsible for ensuring that all content provided to Webtec is accurate, lawful, and does not infringe the rights of any third party.
Webtec is not responsible for legal claims, copyright issues, trademark disputes, advertising claims, regulatory issues, or other problems arising from content, materials, or instructions provided by you.
If Webtec creates copy, images, designs, or other content for you, you are responsible for reviewing and approving it before publication.
12. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Webtec retains ownership of all concepts, drafts, mockups, sketches, designs, source files, processes, templates, strategies, know-how, and materials created before full payment is received.
After full payment has been received, you will receive the agreed rights to use the final deliverables for your business.
Webtec may retain ownership of reusable frameworks, templates, code snippets, internal processes, design systems, tools, and general know-how used to create the work.
You may not resell, license, copy, distribute, or claim ownership of Webtec’s pre-existing materials, internal tools, templates, or proprietary methods unless expressly agreed in writing.
13. Portfolio rights
Unless you notify us in writing before the project begins, you allow Webtec to display completed work, designs, screenshots, case studies, testimonials, business name, and logo in our portfolio, website, social media, sales materials, and marketing.
If your project is confidential, you must inform Webtec in writing before work begins.
14. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to keep confidential information private and not disclose it to third parties except where necessary to perform the services, comply with the law, or enforce these Terms.
Confidential information does not include information that is publicly available, independently developed, already known, or lawfully received from another source.
15. Approvals and launch
Before any website, landing page, design, or campaign goes live, you are responsible for reviewing and approving the final work.
Once you approve a deliverable, Webtec is not responsible for errors, omissions, typos, broken links, incorrect claims, or other issues that could reasonably have been identified during your review.
Webtec may assist with corrections, updates, or fixes after launch, but additional fees may apply unless the issue was caused by Webtec and is covered by the agreed scope.
16. Refunds and cancellations
Fees paid to Webtec are generally non-refundable once work has started, unless otherwise required by law or agreed in writing.
If you cancel a project after work has started, Webtec may retain amounts paid to cover time spent, work completed, resources allocated, third-party costs, and lost scheduling capacity.
If a project is cancelled before completion, Webtec may invoice for work completed up to the cancellation date.
Deposits, setup fees, strategy fees, design fees, and custom work fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.
17. EU consumer right of withdrawal
If you are an EU consumer, you may have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving a reason.
However, if you request that Webtec begins providing services during the withdrawal period, you may be required to pay for the services provided up to the time you withdraw.
If the service has been fully performed with your prior express consent during the withdrawal period, and you acknowledged that you would lose your right of withdrawal once the service was fully performed, your right of withdrawal may no longer apply.
This section does not apply to business clients where consumer withdrawal rights are not applicable.
To exercise a withdrawal right, you must contact us at [email protected] with a clear statement that you wish to withdraw.
